Faith series by Isaacola AA

FAITH series

1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the men of old gained approval. Hebrews 11 : 1& 2 New American Standard Bible

The subject of faith is paramount to our existence as humans. There is a void in every man that only faith can fill. However, we oftentimes seek to satisfy this craving with things outside God.

As we consider the subject of faith, what better place to look than Hebrews Chapter 11.

From verse one; we notice that Faith is an intangible assurance of things hoped for and also the conviction of things not seen. Faith gives assurance to the things we are hoping for! Mind you, faith is not all about getting things from the proverbial Father Christmas, We will get into the details later.

Verse two opens our eyes to a very important aspect of our discuss, by faith, men of old pleased the Lord. They got approval from the Lord for their actions and or inactions. Abel offered an excellent sacrifice by it, Abraham offered his son; mind you, I didn’t say was about to offer but offered because, to God, Isaac was as good as offered.

Since Christianity is a walk of faith; friends, is our walk of faith getting approval from God? Your faith should distinguish you from the pack. If your walk of faith can’t even be seen by your immediate environment then how can we say we walk in faith? Another version said “they obtained a good report from God”. What kind of report are you generating friends? Good or bad?

Our walk should be evident in every area of our lives. The question is: is your faith encouraging others or discouraging them? Is your work getting approval or disapproval from God? Read the whole of Hebrews 11 as we continue the journey into looking at the subject of faith.

Stay blessed.
