Faith series – Toyin Alimi

JAMES 1:6-8
“But let him ask in faith nothing wavering for he that WAVERETH is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways”.
Being unstable has always been associated with Negativity. Gen 49:4, Jam 1:8, 2Pet 2:14 and 2Peter 3:16. The scriptures clearly states that if we ask God in un-belief, we will not receive anything from the Lord. As human beings, our needs are insatiable but God promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus, so why are we not enjoying the whole package? Its because we lack faith that is immovable. Today we trust God for supply the next day we are calling people for help. Have you observed that in the aspects of our life where we trust God the most is the area we experience unending miracles; but in the areas where we invest all our human efforts because we feel we are skilled, perfect, above mistakes is where we keep falling and rising.
Lets keep our eyes off the sea like Peter and walk on stormy seas but let us not be like Peter also for once He took His eyes off Jesus he began to sink. Let us live our lives daily by faith continually trusting the Holy Spirit to complete a good work in us. When we are stable in faith we generate positive results and the world see Christ at work in us for indeed we are the living “Bibles”.
