Faith series – Isaacola AA

Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”

Romans 4 : 18
New King James Version

Many a times we find ourselves in situation and circumstance contrary to what we believe or envisaged. We find ourselves in direct opposite of what we expected! It looks as if all hell will break lose and our world will come tumbling down. All hope may seem lost and all friends will disappear into thin air and even the few that stayed will not understand you forgetting that you yourself do not understand what is happening! Like Job’s friends, they will either be condemning you or looking for un-confessed sin you are hiding. Hold on, don’t give up yet! There is light at the end of the tunnel my brothers and sisters.

When all things seem to be working against you like Jacob said. That is not the time to give up on the Promises of God, actually, that is the time you are supposed to lay hold on HIM more because He exalts His Words above his name. Like Abraham did, when it seems your situation is hopeless, that is the time to up the ante and latch your Faith to Him and His word. Naturally Abraham situation looked hopeless and even the biological clock had stopped ticking for him and his wife Sarah, but he hoped against hope.

“Giving up on the promises of God” is not an option friends,” holding on” is. A minute before the end is not the end. God will always come through. Like a friend of mine once said “when we can’t see God, you trust Him”. Look at his antecedents – he is “Semper Fidelis” always faithful.

The darkest moment of the night is the closest to the breaking of the day (dawn is around the corner). His word concerning your life is certain, it does not have expiry date, it is effective and efficient UNTIL it brings to pass what it is expected. “I know the thought I think towards you says the Lord, thought of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. Hold on, change is coming!
