Faith Series – OBADINA FEMI

HEB 10:35-36 “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which is of great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise”.

On the first Saturday in October, we considered the gospel of divine Will , which was to remind us that we were not created primarily for our own pleasure but for His and how true living is about surrendering to His divine will. On the Second Saturday, we considered the gospel of divine timing, which was to let us know that God is neither slow nor fast but will always make manifest, everything beautiful in our lives at the time He considers right hence we must humble ourselves and allow His timetable for our lives to play out as He has ordained it. On the third Saturday, we considered the gospel of divine grace, which was to admonish us to always make out time to visit the throne of grace so as to download grace that will help us in time of need rather than spend time worrying, complaining and murmuring. This fourth  Saturday of October we want to consider the above topic.

God desires that you walk in the confidence, which He has provided for you because of your association with Him. The most important relationship one can ever have is the one with the creator and controller Himself, God. You may not know those who are men and women that matter in the society who are in the corridors of wealth, power, and fame but if you are in league with God that is the best you could ever ask for. Never look at yourself with pity as though all who seem to have conquered the earth as per wealth, fame, and power without a relationship with God are more privileged than you are. In fact, you should be compassionate towards them and pray for their Salvation because they have all eternity to live and enjoy with God but chose to take only 120 years and below to enjoy a life without a relationship with  God. Hence, they seal their fate as the eternally damned. While you are still on this earth, God wants you to know you are among the most privileged people on the earth. Walk like it. Live like it. Talk like it. Be vibrant. Let your joy permeate your community. Be positive. Except if you do not believe all that God Has said about you in the scriptures.  My question to you is this, “do you believe?” Do you believe that all things will eventually work together for your good? Do you believe that God will make everything in your life beautiful at the time He considers right? Do you believe that the lines will fall for you in pleasant places? Do you believe that no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper? Do you believe that God is in control in your life endorsing what should or should not happen? Do you believe that God  numbered  each strand of hair on your head and none will fall to the ground, if He has not endorsed it? Do you believe that the arrows that fly by day and the pestilence that stalks in darkness will not come near you? Do you believe that when the enemies come in like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will raise a standard against them on your behalf? Do you believe that you will enjoy the goodness and prosperity of the Lord in the land of the living? Do you believe that God will supply all your needs according to His abundance in the realm of glory? Do you believe that God is your Shepherd and so He is able to lead you to your green pastures and allow you to feed while He wards off predators? Do you believe that the same power that God used in raising Jesus from dead is the same power He has put in your spirit for you to effect changes in your life and community?

If you believe all I have mentioned, then you have no right to walk in fear, timidity, defeat, uncertainty and worries but rather you need to walk in divine confidence (that is, confidence based on the fact that you have the divine one, solidly behind you and all the earlier mentioned promises are your witnesses to a good life). For it is only when you walk in “this confidence” that you will command the great manifestation or rewards like you read in our opening scripture. Grace and be peace be multiplied unto you.
