All through the universe, I’ve found none deserving of God’s blessings. Man is fashioned in a way that he has little power over his flesh hereby causing him to sin. If we look closely at the reasons why we sin, it is all in a bid to fulfil the desires of the flesh. The flesh is so greedy that it wants everything good. It wants to grow fat and fresh, so it needs the best of meals. It wants to look beautiful and be praised, so it needs the most expensive creams, soaps and clothes to adorn it. The flesh is so greedy that it wants you to always fulfil its own desire. It is in the process of giving the flesh what it wants that you sin. Our desires are not illegitimate. It is not wrong for us to want to look good at all times, drive the best of cars and live in beautiful mansions after all the bible says when we ask God, he will give us what we asked. He is a giver of good gifts, so therefore we deserve beautiful things. Sin is taking off a legitimate desire. Because you want to drive a car so bad, you steal. Because you want to use the latest phone and wear the expensive clothes and hairs, you sell your body. You go extra mile getting your legitimate desire at the wrong time doing illegitimate things; that is sin.

No man is perfect and free of sin. Roman 3 vs 23 says that for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. This verse did not say some or a group of people, it say for ‘all”. Everybody is a sinner. Daily, we commit sins out of omission, commission, the deeds of our hands, the words of our mouth and even through the thoughts of our hearts. We are so filthy that no one deserves the mercy of the Lord but God in his infinite mercies sent His son to die on the cross of Calvary for our sakes. Romans 3 vs 24-25 says: ” and we are freely justified by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in His Blood. He did this to demonstrate His justice because in forbearance, He had left the sins committed before hand unpunished. His skin was torn by whips and He was nailed to the cross of Calvary for our sakes. His dying on the Cross means He has found us all worthy enough to lay His life for us. He made a public ridicule of the devil when, alongside Jesus, our sins were nailed to the cross. He gave us dominion over the gates of Hell. He ripped the curtain of the temple into two giving us a direct access to the Most High God.

Jesus did all of these because he found you and I worthy. God does not look at the physical being. When He looks at you, He sees himself because when God breathe Himself into man, He passes to him god qualities. According to Psalm 82 vs 6 that says I have said that ye are gods and all of you are children of the Most High, God confirmed that truly we are gods. Understanding who we are gives us the dominion over sins. Understanding the qualities and abilities of a god gives us a great consciousness of staying away from sin. Knowing a god does not succumb to the little distractions posed by the devil gives us the self control to attain dominion as Jesus had done for us on the cross of Calvary. Patience is a virtue that every god must posses, the patience to wait upon the Lord to fulfil all our needs according to His riches in glory at the appropriate time. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40 vs 31).

God understands sin is very deadly to us. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6vs23). He gave us free-will to choose whatever pleases us but common sense to choose rightly. Who are you? A god or a commoner? A commoner begs and strives before he eats but a god lives in plenty and divine peace. A commoner lives like a dog on the street but a god lives above a king, he communicates with God directly because of the father-son relationship. A god understands faith in God is everything he needs; the Joy of the Most High is His strength but a commoner will be pushed about by the devil like a leaf blown by the wind. You decide what you get. Eternal life celebrating with the Lord Jesus Christ or death and gnashing of teeth? The choice is all yours to make, choose.
