7 laws of breakthrough (3)
As we continue again in this series, let me quickly reiterate that breakthrough could be in different facets of one’s life- it could be financial, medical, spiritual, emotional- just name it.
This week we want to highlight the third law of breakthrough-FAITH or believe depending on your choice of words.
Do you know that the word impossibility is a relative word, what you consider as impossible, to another man is but a child’s play, in fact the things man concludes impossible are nothing before the almighty. The scripture declares “…with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible”- Mark 10:27. The possibility or impossibility of a thing is dependent on not the thing but YOU, yes you! If a task is impossible, it’s because you deem it so. Mark 9:23-“…if thou canst BELIEVE, all things are POSSIBLE to him that BELIEVETH”. “All things” Jesus said is possible to him that believes, all things!
Sometimes ago, in the days when men thought if you run more than 20 miles an hour you’ll die the sons of an American clergy- Bishop Wright asked their father if it was possible for men to fly. Bishop looked at Orville and Wilbur, nodded his head in the negative and said “If God wanted men to fly he would have given them wings”. Somehow, the Wright brothers seemed to have more faith than their pastor father, they believed it was possible for men to fly and in no distant time they invented the first air plane. That invention till today remains one of the best thing that ever happened to man. They believed against all odds and they broke through.
Situations and circumstances around will always be contrary to our believes. Circumstance will always suggest that the task ahead is impossible, but faith will say “it’s possible”, “I will overcome”, “I will make it”, “I will get there”.
If you say you believe, add one thing to your faith- Confession. Confession is what substantiates faith. Learn to say what you believe, the Psalmist says “I believed, therefore have I spoken”- Psalm 116:10. Say what you believe, tell it to yourself, tell it those who care to listen and those who don’t, say it to the mirror and the door, say it in the toilet as you…you know!, say it over and over again, say it everywhere and every time you can. I have learnt that confession has a way of over-writing your believes on your circumstances. Sooner than later you will have what you believe. “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”- Mark 11:22-23
Imagine how much you can do with your life, the records you can break, and the history you can make if only you will believe. Remember ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVES.
All scripture reference is from the King James Version of the Bible.
