SOILED HAND

Slighted and blighted by my blasted past

I am left with regret and ‘Had I known’

Swimming in the ocean of youthfulness

I ate my cake and thought I will still have it

 

 

Now I am confronted with frightful plight

Sacrificing the future thru a tortured past

Tasted every apple without ample care

Only to be confronted by my soiled hands
